Hi, ive recently bought a Peavey 5150 Combo and im really pleased with it. I play Metal like Trivium, Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth and so on. And i was just wondering if anyboydy have any good settings wich give an awsome Metal Tone?

Technically, amp settings threads are against the rules, so we can't give you exact settings for those bands.

But for metal, I'd try lots of gain and low mids. I don't really know much about metal settings, but maybe try google?

Amp settings will sound a bit different to everyone, so it's generally best to just fiddle with it until you like how it sounds. You've only got 4 or 5 knobs to mess with; just start at 12 o'clock and adjust to taste.

This may be Off Topic but why is ity against the rules to post amp settings?

the 5150 is very middy, so you'll hardly get any sort of metallica esque scoop... but with the bass and treble around 6-7 and the mids around 4-5 you can get a pretty aggressive high gain tone

my settings are a lil more hard rock-metal hybrid but if you use my settings and turn down the mids some i think it would work great...

pre 7
bass 6
mid 5
treble 5
presence 4.5
resonance 7
