Hey

I want to buy a pedal for my church, so something reasonable.
Right now all the effects are running out of my Line 6 75 watt amp.

So it goes

Guitar >>> Amp >>> DI Box >>> XLR Input into sound system

AMP >> LINE OUT
So i dont use the amp for what it is.
Just for its effects head

I need something cheap that does what the amp does.

I was thinking the Line 6 POD XT, X3, 2.0

Or some of the DigiTech, or DeltaLab

All these pedals are around $100

What do you guys recommend?

^ The only 75 watt amp Line 6 makes is the Spider. I don't think you'd find a higher end amp in a church.

Yes, but I dont need an AMP.
I need the effects.
Right now the amp is not helping, since in using the effects, and running it out of the LINE OUT. of the amp.
So theres no point of carrying that heavy amp, just for its effects head.

Why do you need a pedal to do what your amp already does? You really aren't going to want a multi fx unit going into a modeling amp. Then you'll have modeling going into modeling, and it's just going to be really digital and fake sounding.

EDIT: So you'll be using the effects processor straight into the PA, and not using the spider? In that case, a POD of some sort will suit you fine.

Yes, Im not using my amp. It goes "digitally" through the system.
I'm not gonna go into it, since that it. I suggested it to the audio guys.. etc. We'll let that be.

So I was wondering what would be the best out of those pedals.
I'm ok with "fake digital sounding"..

So I was wondering what would be the best one out of them?

Do you need all the effects or just the amp models, cause if you want the effects then get a POD, if you just want the amp models, then look at tech 21 sansamp series

Yeah kinda what my amp does...

So would a POD be the way to go ?

POD X3 Live would be my suggestion. It has 2 XLR outs. Runs about $350 used or $500 new, but you would'nt need anything else. My backup rig is a POD X3Live into a Randall RT-2/50 power amp into an Avatar 4x12 cabinet. In a place with a good PA, I run the XLRs to the board and use the Randall/Cabinet as a stage monitor using the live outs.
