Hey, I'm new to this forum. My name's Mark, and I've been playing guitar for just over a year now.

I was listening to a Queens of the Stone Age concert on youtube recently, and I was just curious what Josh and/or Troy were using to make the weird guitar noise during the quiet part in Someone's in the Wolf (@ 5:23).

Here's the link to the video:

Any ideas?

Delay self-oscillation.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Boss pedals may be built like tanks but I would rather buy a cardboard box that is on my side than pay for a tank that is working against me.

Some pedals come with a self oscillation feature. If you have a delay pedal that doesn't just mess with the knobs and you can get a similar sound.
