they have gone really expensive not that great value now im looking for high grade woods and construction.

Hm, I guess they're real expensive in the UK...in the States they're a steal for the price. What do you mean by high-grade woods? Both the ones I mentioned were mahogany and have 5 star reviews on nearly every site i've seen.

Right first off a decent shecter has a high grade wood and the ones for £700 in the UK are good prices. honestly theres nothing wrong with Bolt ons either, Shecter Would suit you pretty well for what your asking

not a fan of seymour duncans myself but yeah they do the job, always sounded so sterile with a Jazz/JB sets but people like em so who am i to judge.

back on topic i cant think of any other Strat/Super Strat shapes which arent bolt ons, most ibanez S series ones ive come across are Bolt on and only other brand was Charvel but they are restricted quite abit when it comes to sound with some models. i think you should go out and try some out TSer

they are about £1100. Ive only tried LTD and i was extrememly uninpressed with their quality or build and woods.
