I know this is acoustic guitar or whatever, but he's loading on the effects, so I feel it belongs here.

I know he's using delay, and it sounds like a slight tremolo. But how is he getting those really sustained notes? Surely not a sustainer? At least not one I know of.

I can't watch vids at work, so I can't check it out directly, but is he using an e-bow?

See, it sounds like it, but no. I was just listening and I was like Oh sweet and ebow. But nope. It's a pedal of some sort since he stomps it off.

He's been known to use that in the studio. Can you have a pedal of that?

He's definitely using reverse delay.

All-riiight.

He is using a Slowgear into Sustainer, then a subtle reverse delay and a normal echo aftwards.
By controlling the harmonic overtones of the acoustic guitar he is fading in those notes and ambient nuances.

Sounds like (although I know nothing of the exact brands):

Envelope Filter->Reverse Delay->Soft Delay

That song is incredible.
