Well i am debating on a new amp to get (i asked a recomendation thread a few days ago) but i had to lower my budget to $250 or below but i might push it for this one since it is $300 but i was wondering if it's a good amp or not? I don't have much money since i'm in high school and don't really have a job all year long and such but i need something loud enough to be heard over drums (i'm lead guitar in me band). Thanks in advance...

They don't sound that great. They can do a lot of stuff, just not very well.

seriously?have you ever even played one?

High gain sounds are really good on vypyr.
If you play metal, then its really ok.

some people swear by these amps like "OMGG VYPERS ARE AMAZINGGG". personally i think they suck. they probably just get all the praise because they are better than spiders, but not much. Go used, look for a valveking or b-52

What sort of styles do you play with your band?

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Because your budget is so low, then yes, I would recommend it.

In your budget go with it. If you can't raise your budget, that's the best you'll be able to do.
