Hmmm. Someone recommended that to me last night. I'll check it out.

Also, I recommend Defraggler - it defrags stuff.

Yeah, a good Defragging takes a while especially if you've never done it and you've got a lot of data on your HDD.

In theory yes but you can keep using it, fully featured, without paying. In theory I advocate sending them money but on the other hand... I can't afford that shit

Oh I seeeee...

Looks like a great program though.

Also, Free Download Manager. You can configure it to monitor your browser and clipboard, whenever you click or copy a download link it queues it for download. Great for organizing all those mass downloads from megaupload...which are of course totally legal...

By the way, does Gmail count? 'cause quite honestly, it has to be the best free mail I've ever used.

I've little time to find the links right now, and some of these have been mentioned, but these are the things I use;

Audacity - simple recording
The GIMP - a dancing dekstop icon of a man in a leather bodysui...wait, no it's the equivalent of Photoshop for free, good for all sorts of imagey stuff
RocketDock - like ObjectDock someone mentioned, but I prefer it, very customiseable, very easy to use
Firefox! - I don't think this has been mentioned best browser ever.
Malwarebytes - As mentioned, seems to protect from everything single-handedly
CCleaner - ..just in case
Oh and AVG - does the job damn well, I run a scheduled scan with this, then every few days I use Malwarebytes/CCleaner to keep it all spotless
GameBooster - by IOBit, shuts down processes not needed for gaming to free up RAM (useful on my laptop for Fallout3 which otherwise struggles from time to time)
Winamp - best media player ever. End of story. Nothing is as good as it, it's slick, it works brilliantly, just get it and love it.

That might be it, I'm sure there's more, I'll update when I remember them, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread though, checking a few things out already

EDIT
To the person above saying he uses a piece of software to convert Audacity .wav's, why not download lamemp3.dll or whatever it's called and just use that to export directly as an mp3? It's simple..
