i've always had bad taste
hating "us" and loving "love"
longing for more hips to trace
dancing between definitions of
you and i. so,
who'd think i'd love the arguments
the useless quips
the things i used to hide?
a shallow tongue in public
a hand wrapped around her side
to think i almost spoiled her
caught in notions of "soulmate"
arrogant of those cries
now my days pieced through she
the one to who i confide.
This was great Jared. I always love your pieces but this one was a lot more relatable than your usual.

You've gotten soft, sir.
