Agh, you should have got Prophecies, that has a much longer tutorial place and it gradually eases you in. Nightfall just drops you straight into the action with barely any help. Just do every single quest you find in Kamadan and that should raise your levels quite fast while still staying easy. Once you're a higher level you have more room to experiment.

Factions > All

I've found that most players in the starter towns are quite friendly. Just join a small guild and ask for advice. It shouldn't be a problem

Edit: All the installments are stand-alone games. They are not expansion packs.
Edit2: Aside from Eye of the North

Nope, Prophecies is the original, then factions, and then Nightfall. They're all standalone campaigns. Eye of the North is the only expansion which you need another campaign to play.

Agreed with prophecies being easier to start with. Nightfall was manic at the start, and my pc was so bad at the time I could never get out of the first city due to lag

Are you crazy? Factions drops you in too far in the game and the tutorial is too half-assed!

I will try and get on to play, but my computer just crashed and GW wont run now I need a new sound card, but I will put you on my friedns list so we can play later, will that work?

Wow that's quite worse than mine. Let's see what I have.

I stopped playing cos my survivor died before getting to legendary and I didnt have any inclination to play any more. To TS, I'll give tips and help, but I don't know if I can be bothered to actually play the game, as I've done nearly everything that can be done without draining hours into it.

Guild Wars > WOW.

Should of bought all the games together. Over in the UK it's like £25 for them all or £15 each =S.

Prophecies has a brilliant tutorial, that's the best to start with. With Nightfall just do every single quest you can to build up levels. Also check out Guild Wars Guru (Google it).

Guild wars is cool. But I played the entire campaign in 1 week,
with my second character I did everything in 2 weeks,
and I made third and a fourth.

But then I quit, because it was always the same.

Think I played it 2 months (probably like 200 hours )

I then went back to RS because that is updated frequently.
But quit that too (like 2 years ago this all is)

Mind you I was afk at my GH 60% of the time in the last 5 months of playing.

try the gaming thread , a lot of helpful people there. My brother and my cousin played it ALOT. They had good characters etc what classes to play etc and other bits.

Best bet is to join a guild and just ask around for advice. I did try to play guild wars but couldnt get into it , prefered WoW (quit)
