Ouroboros (ex-Dred) are an Australian Death Metal band with an EP out and recording of Full-length under way.

They opened for Necrophagist in Sydney for the Summer Slaughter Tour earlier this year and I got a good feeling they'll get big in the death metal scene.

I love their sound. Check em out guys!

Yup.
Their pretty awesome, been listening to their EP for quite awhile now. I can't wait until some full length material is recorded.

I like their name. It reminds me of three different bands.

Musically...it's pretty good.

EDIT: Releasing. I know their writing right now my bad.

Eh, I think "dred" fit better as a name. Now I gotta rename my files...
I'm a stupid jackass.

Special sources tell me possible end of year release of full length

^ I liked DRED better too but Ouroboros seems to be more meaningful

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the Oroboros is those two snakes devouring eachother...you know what I mean lol. Personally I'd love to see them again in any case. It's a shame Denis Vlachiotis left them; his solo stuff is insane.

Ouroboros is a virus in Resident Evil 5.

COMPLETE GLOBAL SATURATION.

Oh so it does have a meaning.

it's a symbol where a snake like creature is eating its own tail.

It is basically a metaphor for cyclic eternity.

Just got Glorification of a Myth and I must say it's an awesome album, ticks most of the modern techdeath boxes and more, guitar work is amazing, without quite becoming wankery
