check at the top of the tab to make sure your guitar is in the correct tuning. If your playing in standard and should be in drop D the it won't sound good.

your tab lines arent aligned right. otherwise those parts look really easy. so whats the problem?

Ive been playing for nearly a year now (I'm mostly self tought) and i know what you mean. playing chords (even power chords) can be tough for some one with less than a few months experience and no real teacher. If you know how to read TAB you should know that when the numbers are on top of each other like this:
G: -----7----7/9---9----
D: 9----7----7/9---9----
A: 9----5----5/7---7----
E: 7--------------------
You play the strings at the same time. this will take some practice. You want to make sure your not hiting each string to hard with your pick (if your using one), make sure your not muting any of the strings (this was my biggest problem), make sure your not hitting extra strings (an other common problem), and one of the BIGGEST goofs beginers make is making sure the guitar is in tune. you could have the worlds most perfect form when playing chords, but you'll sound like crap if your guitar is out of tune.
Practice the first 5 notes of "Iron Man" (what i tabbed out) every day for atleast 10 minutes and chances are you'll see an improvement in a week or so.

Those are chords - you need to stop learning songs and get some fundamentals under your belt so start learning chords.

first of all thats drop d or drop c tuning. also you won't know how to play these chords without listening to the song. listen to the song carefully and learn how to strum those chords correctly. also make sure the timing is right.
sorry if this one isnt the matter

Or Drop C#, Drop B, Drop A#, Drop A.....

It is a drop tuning of some sort.

Or standard

No one in their right mind would write something like that in standard. It's a drop tuning. It's all power chords.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.

If you've only been playing a month and have no teacher, you should honestly get the foundations, i.e. Chords, tunings, picking styles, muting etc. rather than trying to jump in at the deep end.

the songs unholy confessions so drop d,

anyway for a month maybe u should try an easier song for chords?
then once you've got moving chords around you can come bk to playing said song and focus playing it cleanly. if that's what your asking anyway
