This heart beats a shallow rhythm. With knees weak and eyes wide, i have failed you time and time again. Between gravel and complacency, i have nothing left to give but hope. Surreal but oh so real, this one last breath has given way to this one last heartbeat. Home just seems too far away to fly with these shattered glass wings... so i will crawl. Though the shards are imbedded deep, i feel my skin shed itself in light of an inpennetrable callus. Corridors of a dim light will lead the way to my heart.

I am but a ghost with no expiration date.
