i died somewhere in the desert
burying all three lives of mine
the one i breathe, a man who thinks,
and a women who prays
as her love tries to find
solace within the rocks of a plateu

he has plateued on many regions
stretching over a scale of diginity
unsurpassed by rigid cliffs
and places we could never climb
where i bring everyone around with me

letting the lifts of nature
fall upon all of our wretched hearts
for we cant sink into the sand
the way we would the water
so i travel to where drought is accepted
and water is worshiped not as a fear
but as a way to clear what is
bringing life closer to where i should be

i suppose there's a chance
i'm just a litte too shallow to consider
that maybe i've been a little more eager
each day to wake up and take a shower
brush my teeth and smile for the mirror

and I mean that.

Do you mean breathe rather than breath?

and I'm fasting today, so I'm going to go and get my first glass of water.

this is great writing.

the third stanza is superb, Nick.
There's a road that leads to the end of all suffering. You should take it.
