The Ibanez WD7 pedal doesn't come with an AC adapter, and I find that I really need it since the batteries are eaten up so quickly, and I have to remove the pedal from the 'circuit' every time i am not using it to save up battery.

The manual says that I MUST only use the Ibanez AC109, AC309 or AC509 AC adapter, but I can't find any of these locally. Is it possible to use a third-party adapter without any issue?

the specs for the ac adapter jack are 41mA maximum, at 9V.

thx, from the confused one

I use a OneSpot daisy chain for all my pedals (including my WD) except for my Metal Muff.

Can I plug just about any standard AC adapter into my pedal without killing any either the pedal or adapter?

As far as different voltages go, it depends on what type you run. For instance, running 9v to my EHX instead of the 9.6v it requires will give it a grungy, fuzzy sound that eventually will blow the pedal up. But there are some cases (I don't know the specifics of it) that allows you to imitate that sound (it's called variable DC voltage).

You're gonna want an adapter with an output of 9v and 200mA.

Well I just went to the local store and picked up a Line 6 DC-1 9.6V DC adapter

https://www.globalfulfillment.net/gfsnet/line6/10Expand.aspx?ProductCode=98%20DC1%20US

works fine with my WD7. And I got it for less than 10 USD, not 20 like that site suggested.

thx for the help guys

EDIT:

I was thinking, would it be safe to permanently leave my pedal connected to DC?
