Hey everyone,

I have been saving up to get a new amp. My current amp is a Line 6 Spider III 30 (not great). My guitar is an Ibanez RG2EX1.

As you can probably guess, I prefer playing metal over other kinds of music. I do, however, love to play classic rock as well as stuff akin to the Chili Peppers. Basically, I need a somewhat versatile amp that can give some pretty sweet cleans, but which can also sear through lead metal sections with ease.

I've planned on spending about 500 dollars on a new amp, but the budget is slightly flexible if it's really worth the extra money.

I've read reviews on the Peavey ValveKing 112 (I've heard both good and bad things), and it seems pretty reasonable. Any suggestions?

Thanks
