For some reason, my XXX head wont work. I was playing it earlier, and when i went to to turn it off, i accidentally just turned it off without putting it on standby first. Now, the amp turns on, but no sound comes out of it. I've tried several different cables and even tried using different guitars, but it still doesn't work. The tubes look like they aren't warming up all the way maybe. this is my first tube amp, so im kind of new to all this.

Any help would be appreciated, i need to get this figured out, i've got a show this wednesday.

You don't have to switch it to standby before turning it off. So that's not a worry.

Really? I thought it damaged it. Then again I had two tube amps that never had a stand by lol.

Edit: If the fuse was gone I think it wouldn't light up.

I blew two fuses in my xxx when replacing tubes lol.

Maybe you need new tubes? Guitar Volume up? The wall outlet your using? Check the fuse too just in case.

the tubes are almost brand new, so that shouldnt be the problem, unless i damaged them by turning the amp off without putting it on standby first.

and i checked the guitar volume, wall outlet, guitar cable, speaker cable, and everything else like 20 times.

the friend who sold it to me is coming over tomorrow to take a look at it, so hopefully we can get it fixed.
