I have a Peavey Valveking 112 and am wondering which would be better. Run the clean channel with something like Metal Muff or the Lead channel with and od like the Bad Monkey(or any other suggestions). I am mainly looking for a metalcore/melodic death metal but it would be usefull to be able to get thrash and black metal tonnes. Also where can i get a pedal for switching my amps channel fairly cheap(im in the uk btw).

The Valveking, even with a boost, isn't a very good metal anything in my opinion. I would say return/sell it and try to get your hands on a used 6505 112 combo.

If you can afford the valveking 112 new, you can definitely afford a used 6505 112.

It was the only task I would undertake...

MY friend uses one of these...........the channel select ends up on switch 2 and the boost on switch 1. but it takes 5 min to change them to the correct around. and it will last a hell of alot longer than the Peavey one!

Check the classifieds for Bad Monkeys. They're up in there all the time.

A used TS7 is also a good option on a budget because you can easily mod it to TS808 specs.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Feel free to express yours so I can make an informed judgement about how stupid you are.
