What is this djent? I've heard the term several times now, and I know the style of bands associated with it, but what does the word specifically refer to?
My band, Escher
My progressive rock project, Mosaic

"Guitar noise onomatopoetia.
The sound you get when you palm mute with razor tight, high gain tone.

"DJENT! DJEN-DJENT!"

Not to be mixed up with the ordinary "chugga-chugga" or "dun! dun-dun!".
Metalhead #1: Dude, did you hear Peripherys new tunes?
Metalhead #2: Yeah, what a great djent on the guitars! "

Well that's odd. I'm not sure I know the noise in question. But the style is Meshuggah, Periphery, Fellsilent, etc., correct?
