Personally, I love playing Polaris by The Human Abstract and Through Struggle by As I Lay Dying. Anyone have any cool song suggestions that are fun to play? I'm kinda running out of stuff to play here haha :P

Definitely August Burns Red. ...Some BTBAM songs, if you can manage that. Other than that, yeah, I don't play metalcore that much either.
My band, Escher
My progressive rock project, Mosaic

Hate it or love it I find the new TDWP cd to be fun to play from time to time. Unearth is also really fun to play along with All Shall Perish and Architects(UK). Sorry if these bands don't all exactly fit in with what your looking for I just wanna help.

Anything by August Burns Red. A lot of Misery Signals is fun to play. I've played the intro to The Human Abstract's "Vela, Together We Await The Storm" waaayyy to much.
ESP Viper 1000 Deluxe

Peavey Vypyr 120 Head
ValveKing 4x12 Cab

ISP Decimator
Boss AC-2
Ibanez TS-7

The stretches for the sweeps in that intro are too wide for my little hands

August Burns Red's stuff is fun as hell to play. Especially Back Burner.
Pestilence by The Faceless is a lot of fun, but pretty tough.
It's Not Safe To Swim Today by Veil of Maya is my favorite at the moment, along with Berzerker by After the Burial.

Are you sure those parts aren't tapped? Just a guess. BTW, you need to get online tonight, dude.

They're not tapped. Just a hell of a stretch.

I hadn't even heard of them before my guitarist insisted on doing a cover. Don't get your panties up in a bunch, guys. Chill.

I love the intro to It's Not Safe To Swim Today, but I find that song so damn hard to play

I've not really learned anything new lately, other than working on Open Arms To Damnation by Born of Osiris. Thats fun to play, but figuring out some of the rhythms is a bitch sometimes. Especially the breakdown. I thought I'd never get that right. I'm more into writting my own material right now. I have a lot of fun playing stuff that I personally have written lol

Just saying, not that I have anything against ceremony, one of my favorite bands, but like wv said, its like stupid to cover anything that not more than like 4 or 5 years old.

Why is that? Whats wrong with wanting to cover a song they like even if its brand new?
Please, enlighten me

No one will know it like they will a classic.

yup. I think a lot more people would mosh if you played an old Cro-Mags song than if you played a new Trash Talk song or something. Like if people wanted to hear those newer songs, they would go see the band that actually plays them.

i;d rather see ceremony played cursed, that see the band of a kid who has a cutsie patootsie butcher it

Well, in that case, thats understandable. If I'm seeing a cover band, I agree, I'd like to hear some classic stuff, or at least stuff that I'm gonna know. I was talking more like if your just playing on your own lol

I misunderstood you

My bad

Who cares what other people on the internet think? You're entitled to your own opinion.

My favorite songs are:

Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr - Trivium
Rose of Sharyn - Killswitch Engage
Demons - Darkest Hour
Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over - The Devil Wears Prada
A Boy Brushed Red, Living In Black And White - UnderOATH
Laid To Rest - Lamb Of God
The Downfall Of Us All - A Day To Remember (hilariously fun)
Truth Of A Liar - August Burns Red
Chapter Four - Avenged Sevenfold
Right Side of The Bed - Atreyu (sounds like an 80s riff...oddly fits)
"Music is an expression. Not competition." ~ Woe, Is Me

Guitar
ESP LTD Viper 400

Amp
Orange Crush 35LDX

The Devil Wears Prada - Everything by them is awesome with a guitar. I'd do Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over
And anything from Bullet For My Valentine to Escape the Fate.
#37
Try Kilswitch Engage Reckoning, its an easy one but its quite fun, or all that reamins this calling.

i like the single off their new album, get the old galloping rhythm on the go
Check out my band! The Afterparty on Facebook

Converge - Bitter And Then Some, Fault And Fracture, The Saddest Day, Forsaken
Limp Wrist - I Love Hardcore Boys/I Love Boys Hardcore, Recruiting Time
Black Flag - Nervous Breakdown
Misfits - We Are 138
