Only time Ive seen a true single coil in a chrome humbucker housing was chinese knock off where they claimed it was a humbucker but half the housing was empty.

That guitar predates the faded model by about 25 years.

If you start a reply with: I have never played one but I have heard good things about it! Your opinion is invalid.

You can't be successful in Jazz music until you're at least 40. You don't have anything to say.

Oh that's why you didn't say the price at first, you didn't want to cause a riot.

I really don't have much knowledge about guitar prices but i think i got a pretty good deal right ? tho the hardcase and neck pickups isn't original.

The guy i bought it off had a 1972 all original SG aswell, and he wanted 2k for that one, eventho this one sounded better

I'd say $1000 give or take is a fair price for the guitar. But $2k for the 72 sounds like a complete rip off.

Did he say what he replaced the neck pickup with?

Only "mod" would be straplocks for now

nice.. i think '70s SGs look horrible though. </jealous>

actually, they just don't look right to me, but hey, it's not about how it looks by any means and that's only my worthless opinion and i'd definitely get myself one if only i could - HNGD

edit: on further inspection it's a lot nicer looking than some i've seen in the past! i changed my mind, it does look good!
