Ive been told that I do my squeals a little odd nevertheless they still work.

For example: on the lower E string i will play the third fret (G). but i place my ring finger gently over the string at the same time i pick it and out comes the harmonic.

Whats wrong with this?

not the conventional way of doing it but whatever works i guess.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

i do use my thumb once in ahwile especially for higher strings and frets. but using the ring finger just seeems easier.

if it works for you there's nothing wrong with doing it that way.

on the third fret theres usually a natural harmonic that ringd out and squals when its bent. its like a easy way of accenting a riff quickly.

also awesome for divebombs

lol that's cool. I wonder how you started it like that. My friend used to do pinch harmonics with his palm

I do the same thing but with my pinky =D
the only thing i can say thats wrong is that it makes me not practice the thumb tech as much, which can cause problems if there's a riff where i can't get my pinky out in time
but yeah its a lot easier than thumbing it

i actually do my pinch harmonics on the low e string with my palm just like your friend apak either that or i do what the TS does lightly place finger on third fret
