I awoke to find a nice package at my door:

Bosch Shredder amplification?

Something lurking inside:

Ta-da!

A Laney VH100R!

A nice angle shot:

And the whole family:

Oh yeah!

But one thing, I'm having trouble recording a good sound, it seems very... distant? :P

This thing is great, had some trouble with the HT fuse blowing but now it appears to be sorted, seems like something got knocked loose on transit but I reseated the tubes and it's a-ok.

Awesome tone, lots of options too, there's so many switches and dials I'll be tweaking for a long time to come! It's really loud too, I can hear parts of my room vibrating at 1 volume!

No clips (sorry guys) since I don't posses a good recording mic and would hate to post rubbish clips of an awesome amp!

I just saw the box and went WTF? and then I saw the amp. How's it sound? I've never played anything but the little Laney combos.

Were you serious or kidding about the recordings sounding "distant" because when people say to mic the amp, don't really mic the amp...mic the speakers.

And if I missed the joke, just kill me.

It's lovely, the cleans are awesome even with my active pickups and the overdrive is great, especially with my BD-2 boosting it. The resonance switch adds some nice low-end, sounds brilliant for metal. Can't wait to play about with it some more but it's late here!

I'm really liking that amp. I would love to try one. I like the chrome too. Very sexy.

HNAD

Yeah the chrome is nice but I'll need to keep it polished and keep fingerprints off it!

In other news, having trouble again with the HT fuse blowing, looks like the power tubes are done for, gahh!
