I heard somewhere that new Fender Jazzmasters have stratocaster-like pups and not real Jazzmaster pickups. Is that true or only a rumour? Are those Seymour Duncan Jazzmaster pups any good?

I hate to say it, but chances are the only thing good about that amp is the fact that the name looks a lot like the word "laser"...

indeed, they do sound different to the classic jazzmaster sound because they have taller, narrower wound pickups, but they are not quite the same as strat pickups in that they are wound somewhat wider, just not as much as the originals.

they sound good in their own quirky way anyway.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
