So i want to get stainless steel frets on my new guitar which has worn frets anyway. Firstly is it standard for a refret job to replace all the guitars frets. Secondly how much would it cost for a stainless steel replacement roughly?

Most of the time when you have worn frets you simply need to get a fret dressing which involves grinding the frets level and re-crowning them but none of the frets are pulled or replaced. When a refret is needed it is normal to replace all the frets but is some rare cases, such as people that only play open chords, you may only need a few frets replaced and the rest can be left as they are. I don't know how much SS frets installed by a pro would be in this country.
