Hey guys, I recently got a Strat, a beauty at that a blue players deluxe. I love the feel and everything about it... but the sound is too bright. Maple neck and the pickups just makes it too bright, other than EQ and knobs, is there anything I can do? Suggested pickups or pedals/effects? Thanks!

clean, but the distor sounds too thin cause of the brightness (I dont play lots of distortion anyways)

Set your pickups so that they are farther away from the strings, this wil give a smoother, fatter sound

Don't strats always have a bright sound?

David Gilmour EMG set...the only EMG's worth buying.

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"

Get some mini-humbuckers. Dimarzio makes good ones, like the air norton s.
