I was inquiring at my local music shop about MXR 10 band EQs - they don't stock them but can get them.

However, they do stock Boss GE-7s, and the bloke in the shop said that the boss is one of the best EQs out there and that EQ pedals are famed for adding noise to your signal - but not the boss GE-7.

Now I'm suspicious of this claim because obviously he wants me to buy the GE-7 - so who better to ask than GG&A.

Cheers in advance

They're both the same really.. only the MXR has a few more bands.

Thankyou for sharing your wisdom, I have another question though:

Which EQ is the least noisy?

Actually, if it's the MXR 6-band, not 10-band, then the 6-band cuts/boosts the frequencies by more.
MXR 6-band: 18 db
Boss 7-band: 15 db
MXR 10-band: 12 db

and I have no idea which is less noisy.
