So I have two KerryKing active EMG pickups (humbuckers), running to an overdrive boost switch, a 3way pickup selector and 2 vol. 2 tone knobs.
I have the momentary switch placed, but i have been having trouble with the wiring.
As of right now, we have the killswitch wired to cutoff all the power from the pickups battery. when pressed, all the noise is gone, but when released, it slowly crackles back. Whats the problem?
should it be wired to cut off the signal from the output on the guitar? :/
any help is appreciated

Don't do that. Short the signal at the output jack or the volume control.
