I'm in need of a new guitar as my other one is falling apart due to poor construction (hey it was cheap). So now that I have a job, albeit minimum wage, I wanted to get a better guitar. Intermediate level most likely. I play in a garage band now (we play punk, rock, and alternative) , but I plan on my new guitar lasting with me for a long time. I'm going to Guitar Center and Buddy Rogers tomorrow to test them out and some other ones but I wanted to see people's opinions on them first.

Here is a $400 LE Les Paul Studio Deluxe.

And here is a $700 LE Les Paul Custom

I was wondering if anyone could give me insight to whether or not the extra $300 is worth it.

Either one will take a few months to save up for and I'm willing to wait a few more months to get the more expensive one if it really is more quality made.

Thanks!

From readiing the reviews and the descriptions i don't think the Les Paul Custom is worth the extra 300 dollars. It has a very vague description and I personally believe an epiphone is not worth 700 dollars. The only difference seems to the top, pickups and finish (the cusom looks like s**t). Thats my opinion but it also depends on your amp and you trying it out yourself.
