So here's the deal.
I've been playing guitar for about 6 years, and I've really enjoyed it thus far.
But in the past, I dunno, half year, I've had an urge to play the bass.
My friend was kind enough to let me borrow his for a while, and I loved it.
Now he wants it back, but I don't want to stop playing...
So I'm looking to buy a decent bass, used probably, that I can play.
the price range is around 300-600 bucks, and I'll just buy a 15 watt rumble with it probably.
I like the red hot chili peppers and Sublime, to give you an idea of the sound I like.
Any help finding me a bass is appreciated greatly.

Also, does anyone know how much I could get for SZ520 ibanez/ digitech GNX3?

Thanks

cool, yea the bass I was using was an ibanez SDRG, I liked it.
Are fender jazz basses really so bad if they're made in Mexico?

I really like my MIM Jazz. It's a bit older now, but I can't imagine they have changed much.

There is some bad buzzing on 2 notes on the neck, and me and the local guitar shop have tried to get rid of it, but we have only been able to lessen it. The pickups seems a bit quiet too, but I played mine for years and years before I got an upgrade.

Well, if your just getting some 15w amp, why 600 dollars for the bass?
Why not try something a little cheaper like an Ibanez SR300 or a VM Squire Bass

Thanks for the imput.
Well because I'm going to live on campus next year, so I don't see a point in a lot of wattage.
but I'd like a decent bass you know?

try for a kustom KBA16. It'll be better than the Rumble. It also has a 4-band EQ. It can also go very loud, in the off-chance you'll need it to.

I'd say that that Stingray or a Jazz might suit you here. Ibanez is hard to slap on. Try out a few MiMs if you can first, they all feel fairly different, I've found
