I am probably going to purchase this ( http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Classic-Player-Jaguar-Special-HH-Electric-Guitar-104907233-i1397681.gc ) and I will probably switch out the pickups for either:

Dimarzio Super Distortion- Bridge / Dimarzio PAF Joe - Neck

or

Seymour Duncan Custom Custom - Bridge / Seymour Duncan 59 model

Which do you think would be better suited, I mainly play rock/hard rock/classic rock
but I like to clean up the tone for some blues or roll the gain up to 11 and shred.
Here's some of the stuff I play:

Aerosmith
Alice In Chains
Alter Bridge
Beatles
Black Crowes
Sabbath
Black Label Society
Blue Oyster Cult
Black Stone Cherry
Boston
Buckethead
Deep Purple
Doors
Dream Theater
Clapton
Full Service ( Austin band probably unheard of on UG)
GNR
Hendrix
Journey
Kiss
Zep
Megadeth
Metallica
Nirvana
Offspring
Ozzy
Pantera
Pearl Jam
Pink Floyd
Primus ( mainly bass though)
Queen
RHCP
Rise Against
Rush
Scorpions
Smashing Pumpkins
Soundgarden
Spacehog
Vai
SRV
STP
Sublime
Toadies
Van Halen
White Stripes
The Who
311

Sounds kind of like an iTunes playlist because it is my "I can play that song" playlist.

PS
Are these pickups splittable?

How do you know the pickups in the guitar won't be good enough?
Get the guitar first.

Buy both pickups. Rub icyhot on both of them. Sandwich your penis between them and walk to the nearest homeless shelter with your brand new icyhot penis sandwich.

Your right, I don't know but I've been watching videos, reading reviews and I may not switch them but I'm still looking for a way of thickening the tone eventually, among other things.
