No I'm not Jesus. I would aspire to be though. I think under circumstances he would let you pay less if you needed to.

I like the plan so far, plus I'm curious about that Super Vee. They look pretty solid, but I don't want to shill out that much just to try one.

hm it's basically just a floyd type thing for people who don't want to route for a floyd or for people who don't like the looks of a floyd. interesting. so expensive though. OFR's are cheaper.

That's what she said!

sorry... i had to! Anyways, it's looking awesome, i'll keep an eye on this.
I used to have the sunburst version of that guitar.

i wish i had that guitar the finish would of been easier to strip
mine was like 5 layers instead of like 2 that are on the sunburst model

The Super Vees are quite nice. Maybe not worth the coin, but if you don't want to go full on Floyd, it seems like a nice option.

I've only seen one in use once, and the guy wasn't even using the trem. I asked him about it, and he said he just liked it because it gave him that "zero fret" sound, and he really likes the fine tuners at the bridge. He had it blocked.

when i finish the project I'll post links to some vids of me testing out the trem although that wont be for like 3-5 months

Your using an active EMG and a passive one?
Also, please don't get EMG selects... they are bad.

Buy both pickups. Rub icyhot on both of them. Sandwich your penis between them and walk to the nearest homeless shelter with your brand new icyhot penis sandwich.

"Please don't get EMG selects"?

Jesus, man, he's not building that guitar for YOU. He can choose whatever pickups he wants. You could have said you didn't recommend them - not "please don't use them".

Gaah, it p*sses me off when people do that...

Anyway. Peavey Raptor, eh? I like the way it looks... I like it a lot. In Surf Green, that stock one up there would be orgasmic. Although I'm sure your modded one will be better

Will be keeping an eye on this build

Jesus, my head kind of exploded trying to figure out that diagram. and I still don't quite understand it.

So I'm guessing it won't work. =S

Try this instead of that diagram:

The NF and SF wires, solder them together.
The NS feed into lug 1 of the switch.
The SS feed into lug 3 of the switch.
The HB Ground, ground to pot case.
Lug 2 of the switch feed into the lug 6 of the pot.
Lug 6 of the pot, feed into Lug 1 of the pot.
Lug 4 of the pot, ground to pot case.
Lug 2 of the pot, feed into cap and then ground to pot case.
Lug 5 of the pot, feed into the output jack - hot.
Output jack - ground, ground to pot case.
Pot case, ground to bridge.

That makes more sense to me, but I'd wait for someone more experianced to confirm/correct what I've said before doing it.
