Those are the way carvins pickups are so it keeps a even magnetic field across the whole pickup, no biggie.

Thanks, it was about $2100 canadian or $1800 us with shipping. That's a few hundred less then the Jackson soloist I was originally going to get.

edit: with the tung oil finish on the back of the neck it's a lot smoother then the jackson and plays equally well or even better. The action and everything is set up perfectly too.

They might be coil taps and a killswitch

I will trade you an assorted bag of my very own body parts for that guitar. No joke.

I've been saving up for one for what seems like for ever, I hope you don't mind some questions.
How does the neck feel, like what neck would you compare it to?
What specs did you get on it?

Happy NGD!

i spot a battery compartment = active pups/EQ

logical deduction - they are to turn on/off EQ and activeness of each pup

you have many magnets on your pups!!

the two little top ones are coil splitters the bottom one is a phase switch.
The knobs on top are Master Volume (push/pull pot to switch between active and passive), regular Tone Knob. The bottom 2 knobs are Active bass boost/cut, active treble boost/cut. Then just regular pickup selector toggle switch.

It's actually just a Ravelle X. But it's pretty cool for a first guitar. It plays pretty decently and is rather comfortable (more so then the elite and deluxe versions in my opinion), it could use a neck adjustment I suppose. I'd love to one day get a guitar with a sustainer, those things are sweet.
