I found a Crate V-50 on craigslist and ik thinking about buying it...but!

he is selling it for $100 and saying everytime he turns it on the fuse blows

what could be some possible reasons for this?

and if it serious how much would it be to fix

Hell. It's a tube amp, buy it. You cant ever really break an amp, just break certain parts. Take it to a tech and get it fixed. It's probably a blown transformer or there are some capacitor/resistor problems going on.

but i dont want to buy it and bring it to a tech and the repair bill be like 200-300 dollars

its still a worry but might as well give it a shot cuz anything is better then my pos amp
