Hey guys, I have been looking for a new amp for a kind of Alternative/Nu Metal sound for quite some time, and considering my budget, I settled upon the Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier. However, recently I've come across what seems to be a SCREAMING deal on a H&K Warp X head and I wanted to know what you guys think about it. I've never played one before, but would it be a good amp for tones similar to those of Limp Bizket, Chevelle, and Avenged Sevenfold? In your opinion is this a better buy then the Single Rec? Thanks for your input!

You obviously know my opinion on this one

I honestly doubt you'll get much educated opinions on this amp. They're very rare.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

well, "The infernal glow of its eight red-hot tubes says it all: Warp X is the undisputed heavyweight champion in the Nu Metal arena." sounds pretty nu metal to me.

if you do mr matrixclaw won't feel special anymore

He was buying mine

But his dad ended up telling him he needed to buy something new, so he got his DSL. I traded it for my Carvin instead
