Hey guys

i'm really struggling getting a good tone out of my SWR, im using a schecter stiletto extreme 4, and i've found a good tone for using a pick which is

Bass: 10
Mid: 8
Treble: 6

But the problem is i never use a pick, and want to get a nice tone for fingerstyle.

I mainly want a nice, deep clean tone. thanks.

I have a Hartke LH1000 and use:

Treble 6
Bass 7
Mid 1

coated roundwounds and a little boost on each on the onboard preamp.

I like it

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think

That's... Horrible.

Rule of thumb, you shouldn't max a frecuency and you shouldn't cut it completely. Be more subtle. TS

By reducing the mids so much you are essentially eliminating yourself from the sonic landscape. Boost the bass and the lowmids, leave the himids at standard and cut the highs, tweak at taste.

LA's only have 3-band EQs. Just saying. Otherwise, I agree.

I have this amp and I think 8 mids is real high. I keep mid at 4, treble at 8, and bass at 7. Like it like that. Kinda punchier than what you have it at.
