they're all pretty much barre chords or open barre chords... that's all you're going to learn from learning a nirvana song. you either play the power chord or you add one more finger (not even if it's a minor full barre chord) and hit all the strings at once instead of the top three you'd normally hit for a regular power chord.

but if i HAD to pick one i'd say Love Buzz

School is such a boring song to play... bang on the open string... bend at the 5th fret...
2 chord chorus... puts my neurons to sleep.

mr moustache is my favourite one to play. i love that riff!

also +1 to stinger12345 - nirvana songs aren't hard to learn and i would advise trying to learn them all
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Radio Friendly Unit Shifter is their best song, learn that.

I keep telling this to my brother, who thinks because he can play lots of nirvana songs that he is good.

+1. That riff on the high strings isn't easy if you're playing it like Kurt did in the earlier days of Nirvana, Like THIS...

E-0-0-5p3----------------------
B-----------5p3-----------------
G----------------5p3p0---------
D--------------------------------
A--------------------------------
E--------------------------------

It is played pretty fast too. And another thing great about this song is you improvise the solos.

Here's an early video of Nirvana playing Love Buzz when Kurt played the entire riff:

Here's a few more recommendations:

Dive (Easy but you can improvise a bit with this one too)
Hairspray Queen (Play this when you're really pissed off at something)
Spank Thru (You improvise the solos in this one too and it is a pretty good song)
The Jam from October 25/26 1992 (Which appears in the WTLO Boxset DVD main menu)

Well, I haven't looked for any tabs for the jam from October '92 but you should hear the jam anyway. Here's a link. When I first heard it I was wondering... "Is this REALLY Kurt? It almost sounds like Jimi Hendrix killing his guitar!"

Always tin your strings.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
