would tubes change the tone of your amp? if so what tubes are more metaly(if thats a word) and how do i know which ones to get?

tubes would Vastly change the sound of your amp. But being someone who doesnt own a tube amp i cant make any recomendations

also should i change tubes or just buy one of the blackstar HT dual tube distortions? would that be a good investment for like 200 bucks?

Tubes can drastically change the tone of your amp. A website w/ a large amount of information is eurotubes.com Check it out. They really know their stuff. I'm going to retube one of my amps based on one of their recommendations and if everything goes well I should be sitting pretty.
