My friend found this chord while he was playing but I don't know what its called.

Seems like some variation of a C major.

e--3--
B--1--
G--0--
D--2--
A--3--
E--0--

Whats it called?

its just a C major chord, only instead of having an E (major 3rd) on the e string, you have a G (perfect 5th) so its just a different voicing of a C major.

^^ he's correct.

It's a C/E (or C 1st inversion, though I'd feel to only name it like that in a "true" triad where every note is played once.
