would this bridge plate fit on an aerodyne jazz bass? and would screwing it in screw with the sustain a lot?

It will fit and it wont mess with the sustain their fully for aesthetic reasons.

basically what fatgoogle just said. They'll be fine. I will warn you however that you won't be able to play by the bridge with that cover in place because it also covers the bridge pickup

Dont know why you want one. It doesnt improve the tone and pretty much prevents you from playing the sweet spot on your bass

Maybe you could put a P-bass cover on it as that only covers the bridge as far as i can remember.
