Be sure you do a sound test with all four speakers in use in 16 ohm mono.

^dunno if wat im saying is true, but i dont think hes gonna be able to find a speaker like the ones in the cab cos like he said, its an old cab, hes going to have to settle for 3 of the same speakers and one different one,

then again, i could be wrong

Just get a new speaker, IMO. G12T-75s are garbage.

they are alright.. i got the cabinet for 1/3 the price so it was a nice deal and i like the sound of the g12t-75 over any other speaker accept the greenbacks. V30 are harsh.

You do realize there are other speakers types besides the V30 and G12T-75, right?

I think he does.

If there was a guitarist alive that didn't know about Greenbacks, he's been living in a hole.

If you like Greenbacks, run 2 of them with the 12T-75s in an X pattern. Sounds pretty good.

also OP, can you just take it to a tech? Seems like a reasonable solution.

how can you possibly think V30s are harsh and G12T-75s are not?

Ugh, I hate G12T-75s, I can't even turn the treble or presence past 5 on my amps without getting an icepick to the brain.

Yeah, I really loathe them too.

My 800 sounded great through a 1936 loaded with those, but the Greenback clones in the Splawn are a whole other world above.
