i have a valveking 112 tube amp and i am very interested in a tonelab le.
i was told it wasn't possible to use them together because it would fry my
pre-amp in my vk112 because of the 2 12ax7's one in vox and one in my
amp. is it possible? i've done numerous google searches and couldnt find anything stating yes or no to the question.

whats the deal with this?

I dont believe its possible. Its a multi-fx meant for amps, they wouldnt sell one that blew all tube amps up. right? and i know EHX has a bunch of pedals with tubes, and those work fine in tube amps.

Ibanez aw20ce

yeah it will work, although it may not sound amazing. On my MFX you can turn the tube level down to 0 so it doesn't use the tubes. If you are just using the effects, the tube is unnecessary. If you are using it for distortions also, the tube (I heard) is also unnecessary because it just gives it warmth, which the tube amp already has. Basically, it may color the sound some but it will work.
