Today. I found the best gear deal EVER! So, I was in a local shop, and there on the wall was a Gibson 335-S Standard guitar with minor wear for 250$!!!!

So I rush home, get a bunch of old PS1/2 games, 360 games and about 150$ in cash, then I head back. Sell the games for about 80$ and gave the guy 220$ today and owe him another 75$ by the end of the month, so its good. But this things is awesome! I don't know the year, but when I get some pics in a bit, I'll get a pic of the serial #, researching this online, I find a new one of these in the early 80s was about 550$, so I think I made a ****ing score!

Pics within the hour! Though they are webcam pics...

It's cool, everyone knows GG&A is better than EG.

Also, that is a good deal and you should feel good for buying it.

The question is... will it blend?

Okay, no, I'd never want to perpetuate that horror upon a guitar. The real question is, how does it play/sound?

Too bad that's disgustingly true. I never click on Electric Guitar. I haven't for the longest ass time.

If that's the right serial number,

Your guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA
August 13rd, 1980
Production Number: 135

From the link above. I'm not entirely sure how accurate these things are, but results only came up when i put it into the Gibson serial searcher(i also tried Epiphone)

Crazy good deal if true.

Yes I am, its so sweet sounding and playing, the pickups are hot too, they make my Crate VC20 a metal amp, my old Pacifica is crap by comparision. Also, its got some stickers/big scratchs on the body, and the plastic cover that hides the electronics in the back is gone, that could've contributed to the low price, but idc about looks, this thing plays like butter! the action is low, yet not buzzy, its epic!

this is a genuine gibson - from the shortlive "firebrand" series that was around in the early '80s (and maybe late '70s). Nice deal, but there's a reason it was so cheap and that's because they were a budget line of guitars in their time, of very little collector value whatsoever. I think they are hidden gems though - the fact that collectors have no interest in them makes them an ideal purchase for anyone who just wants a nice guitar that they can play without worrying about resale value.
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp

Looks like an old LP Double Cut-Away. Nice deal though, I wish I could find an old SG for that money.

It isn't fake, but if it were, it would be neither Gibson, nor vintage, so I really don't see the logic in your statement...
