Well, I've spent about a week and half with my JCM 2000 and unable to play because I didnt have a cab yet. I just got my Avatar 2x12 with one Celestion Vintage 30 and one G12T75 speaker! This speaker cabinet f'in rocks. I can't believe the quality for the price. It blows away the 1960A cab I tried the amp out with when I bought it. I paid $409 total including shipping. I am an Avatar customer for life now assuming they don't start jacking their prices up.

I'm in pure Marshall Bliss right now.....I'm still learning to dial on the lower tunings when using my Les Paul, but almost everything I threw at my American strat sounded awesome. I love my GNX4 with supermodels, but still would always spend time tone searching......so I tried my Valveking 112 for awhile. Its lead channel just didnt do it for me though. Finally, I have finally got a setup I love and just want to play all day long!!!!

Hey man, I'm not pretending to have a setup that noone else does. Theres a reason why LP through a Marshall is common! Its tone heaven.

^ Some people on here would prefer a custom made guitar through a boutique amp.

If you don't mind my asking, what LP is it?

Nice.

I just quoted a job for installing the electrical on an aboveground pool system. If I get it, it'll be a cool tax-free $3000 that's going into a Goldtop LP Historic '57 Reissue.

It should. It's nitrocellulose instead of that polyurethane crud.

Some better pics of the guitar, since it seems to be getting (understandably) more discussion than the cab ; )

HNCD!

Im not sure whether to buy an Avatar 2x12 with V30's, or a new Epiphone Les Paul Standard myself.

Sweet guitar man, also, I LOVE that case.
You have a great setup, put it to good use.

All Gibbies after 2005 have that case. I have a newer HSC so mine is identical.

The white fuzz is very nice.

Yeah, I was really happy with the case quality. You can't see it in the picture, but I actually like the snake skin scaley exterior just as much as the white fuzz. That handle is also well padded. Good case.

Avatar cabs are great and all, but why does everybody always get the Fender style models?
I would rather have one of the Orange (Contemporary) or Bogner (Vintage) type of Avatar cabs.

I dont know about Fender style, but I just wanted a plain black cab with black grille. I thought about getting one of the vintage styles but I figure I'll save that for my next cab ; ) None of the color tolex I felt would have looked right with the Marshall, or a Mesa Mark V in the future.

I will if I get a chance. Its a closed back, and just has two speaker inputs. Its 16 Ohm mono so I can use either one. Not really much to see back there.

Mono. 17 screws I think.

Celestions. Cosed back obviously.

To go from closed to open back quickly I would think you would have to come up with a way to re-wire quickly. With tabs and connectors that is no big deal. Soldering on the other hand is.

Very nice and tight otherwise. Mine is a 212 Oversized.

does that help or give gas?
