In some of the old jazz albums the guys curse but they don't say F*ck, they say Hell Yeah or Damn.

I think it's really kind of impossible to say with any kind of certainty because people's definitions of what words are considered taboo or inappropriate are always changing. There are things we say casually nowadays that would probably have gotten us ganged up on and lynched back in the 40's and 50's.

MC5 is known for being an early band to say "mother ****ers" on Kick Out the Jams, but cursing has probably been going on since recordings have existed

Led Zeppelin definitely just uses innuendo.
I mean, they're pretty much a Citrus rock band. "Tangerine", "Lemon song", etc...

In Bron-Y-Aur Stomp it pretty obviusloy says "Ain't none of this old sh*t ever gonna happen again."

So no, not just innuendo.

I'd probably have to say this...I haven't heard that song in a while. If you listen to a lot of blues records from the 30's and 40's they have some mild language on there, but never anything to the extent of "mother****er" or anything like that.
