As the father of a toddler and a husband, I don't get to go to my drummers house to use my half stack nearly as often as needed, and even if it was at my house, I can't exactly slink off to the basement all day to use it.

I have a small "rig" of gear I forgot I had, or bought when my tastes were different. Currently, it is passable, but uninspiring. I was hoping some people on here might have some cheap/easy ways to improve my experience on a budget. Ideally, I'd like to achieve a bedroom volume version of tones in the vein of Mastodon's Remission through Blood Mountain, and/or something like Earth's The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull.

Gear as follows:
Gibson Les Paul studio (supposedly all mahogany version) stock
D'addario XL 11's
Horizon cables
Onerr Tungsten overdrive (my bit o' grit pedal)
Digitech Hot Rod (my main grind)
EH Metal Muff (too zingy or quacky, no matter what I try)
Digitech Whammy (I think second edition)
Crate Palomino V16 (I can get the cleans and hairy cleans, but not the grind)

I'm open to any and all suggestions that aren't asinine, but please keep in mind this has to be on the cheap!
