So on my multifx pedal i have a limiting setting which gives me quick attack and everynote comes out where are without some notes tend to be a bit quieter on the thin strings.

Do compressors do the same thing? On the multi fx pedal it doesnt bring every note out the same way as the limiter does.
thats not what im after thats an eq pedal. i think its just a compressor which does limiting i need as well so its cool.
Well that's an Attack EQ for shaping your attack, from what I've heard and can tell. Look for a limiter. They usually exist only in racks or as plugins, since they're used mainly for recording, but I'm sure a pedal exists somewhere.
