Hi, I'm looking for a guitar thats around $400 or less. I'm in a hard rock/heavy metal band that plays alot of old school thrash, and occasionally some nu-metal or modern metal. I'm looking for: something with a small, semi-flat neck - something that I can use for several songs in different genres and have it still sound good - something with a nice pair of stock humbuckers. Here's what I was looking at: the Ibanez RG7321 7-String - (http://www.instrumentpro.com/P-IBARG7321?source=froogle). Good investment? PLEASE RECOMMEND GUITARS!

Thanks, Chaazums

P.S. I just looked at that 7 string because it looked like a nice sounding, cheap guitar. I'm not crazy about the 7 strings, but I don't mind an extra string. I AM MAINLY LOOKING FOR 6 STRINGS!

RG series are nice guitars, but personally I think that a MIM HSS strat is going to be a great guitar for what you want.
edit: what's your amp too?"

Check my sig = a Line 6 Spider III. I use a BOSS DS-1 through it, and despite the haters ( ), I think it's a great sounding rig.

About the MIM HSS. I think your right. My friend has one, he plays it through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a BOSS Metal Zone.....

Keep em' coming!
