Hi all

Im really wanting to get a good acdc tone (classic 80s rock tone i think).

Ive got a hagstrom viking with a blackstar ht5 amp. thats as far as ive got with

equipment.

Been looking at stuff on you tube at what people are saying, and they are

recommending a mad professer mighty red distortion pedal, or somthing simaler

what do you think?

thanks again for all your help people

angus young goes straight in to a marshall stack to get his crunch, so no pedals req`d

the ht5 is a tube amp so you should get a nice crunch out of it with the gain on about 7

b-8,m-3,-t-7 (angus does scoop his mids)

All you need for Angus tone is a set of low output humbuckers into a tube amp that is turned up a little bit.

If you really feel the absolute need for a pedal then a Zvex Box of Rock sounds just like a JTM45, which was Angus's main studio amp for most of AC/DC's major albums.

And Angus most certainly does not scoop his mids, I have no idea where you got that idea from.

maybe for his more modern stuff but there is no way in hell Angus scooped his mids for the Bon Scott era stuff or early Johnson era stuff.
