Ugh, I hate it when people just give the high E gauge. What strings are you considering?

I like Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkeys for drop tuning, BTW.

Drop B? Well, if you adjust the truss rod and action right you could do it with 09's, but just as a swap I'd say 12's or 13's would probably get the job done.

Those would definatly be heavy enough. I'd try the Beefy Slinkeys though, I like them better than 13-56s. I think they're 11-54s. A lot easier to play on.

try the strings out, if you like them you like them, if you dont you dont

and even if you do like them, try something new now and then

you better check under the sea,
because that's where you'll find me..."

12s would be ok for drop B. You'd have to tinker with your guitar a bit...

-Gibson LP VM
-Silvertone Kentucky Blue
-MXR CC Delay
-Ibanez TS-9
-Egnater Rebel 20

Haha. UG's Chuck just said chuck. haha
You're not truly playing guitar unless you know theory.

You can use any gauge strings that you want to - its all personal preference. Lighter gauge strings will be looser and sloppier while higher gauge strings will be tighter and more punchy. It all depends on you like it and what feels good to you.

I just hate the looseness of strings. So i needed something a bit tighter than these:
