Hey, your ESP-obsessed Asgard222 here.

You may have seen this guitar on UG a long time ago:

But now the guitarist who dons this signature model, Aoi from the Gazette, came out with a second version called the ESP A-II en-v.

Specs:
BODY :Alder
NECK :Hard Maple 3P
FINGERBOARD :Ebony , 24frets
SCALE : 628mm (Medium)
NUT :Lock nut (42mm/R2)
JOINT :Neck-thru-body
TUNER :GOTOH SG360-07
BRIDGE :Floyd Rose
PICKUP Front) Lace Sencer Hot Gold & Seymour Duncan SL59-1n
(Rear) Lace Sencer Hot Gold Bridge & Seymour Duncan SLSD-1b
CONTROL :Master Volume, Mini Toggle PU Selector
2 Way Sound Vriation System Mini Switch
COLOR :Black
PRICE :525,000yen (Include TAX) with Hard Case

Probably going to cost $4,800 street price. WAAAAY too over-priced and overrated, typical of ESP Japan. If they at least change the headstock I think this guitar looks ok, but NOBODY is going to buy this guitar unless they are hardcore Gazette fans or they're rich.

So, is this guitar bad-a$$ and a B.C. Rich killer or just plain ugly as fu**???

i never really understood the point of having "insanely hardcore looking" guitars.
its a turn off to me.

This

First on looks like an ugly Iceman to me, second an ugly V (obviously)

There's something about those...they look photoshopped, maybe it's just the way they've edited the light for marketing photos.

Although ESP Japan makes great guitars they really need to stop endorsing these stupid "visual-kei" artists and making sh**-looking guitars like these.

i'm a big fan of the gazette, but the guitarist's signature guitars are HIDEOUS as are most of ESP Japan's...

I like Syu from Galneryus though. his sigs cooool
Top lel.

^ I like Syu's stuff too. Not a bad sounding band either.

These guitar are way overdone...and I usually like different looking guitars.

I don't think it looks that bad... It isn't insanely flashy, like a Razorback for instance. It's more like a mix bitween an ESP Forest and a V.

As a matter of fact, I kind of like it even it isn't something I'd buy for myself. And that pickup config is pretty damned sweet, and the slanted bridge pickups look great.

EDIT: Obviously I was talking about the second guitar. I don't really like the first, it's like they took a Tele and submited it to a dark alley kidney surgery.

I actually don't like the look of either of those guitars, and this is coming from a big ESP fan.

i'll be receiving my ESP Crying Star Rebel in october,

but sometimes i wish i waited just a tad longer and buy that V instead...

it'll look good right next to my Randy Rhoads polka dot custom V.

cuz i really love ebony boards unlike the Crying Star Rebel's rosewood board...

not a big fan of Gazette either...

just would love to shred on that V.
